I Was Today Years Old When I Learned These 13 Cozy Games Were On Netflix

If you love mobile games and have a Netflix subscription, this list is for you.

Netflix Games are available on both iPhone and Android, which makes them surprisingly easy to jump into. You donโ€™t need a console, a gaming PC, or anything fancy. Just your phone and your usual Netflix account.

And yes, they really are included with your subscription.

If you already pay for Netflix to watch your comfort shows or re-watch the latest kdrama (and why is it Crash Landing on You?), you can download the games at no extra cost.

The games themselves are downloaded through the Apple App Store or Google Play, but theyโ€™re tied to your Netflix account. So instead of buying the game outright or dealing with ads and microtransactions, you simply sign in with Netflix account and start playing.

Gotta love a cheeky little freebie.

The games donโ€™t sit inside the main Netflix TV app, and Netflix doesnโ€™t always shout about new games either, so itโ€™s easy to miss them completely.

The library also changes every month. The following games were available at time of writing this.

How To Play Netflix Games

Itโ€™s really simple… because if it wasn’t then I wouldn’t bother.

Just open the Netflix app on your phone (it must be on your phone) and head to the Games section. Tap the game you want, then Netflix sends you to the Apple App Store or Google Play to install it.

Once itโ€™s downloaded, open the game and sign in with your Netflix account. Thatโ€™s it. You can also search for Netflix titles directly in the App Store or Google Play if that feels quicker.

But what happens if you cancel your subscription?

Well nothing. You don’t lose your game progress, you just can’t play it is all. If you decide to take a break from Netflix you’ll be able to pick up and continue playing where you left off when you resubscribe.

Paper Trail

Paper Trail is a top-down puzzle adventure about leaving home, set in a foldable, paper world.

You play as Paige, a budding academic, leaving home for the first time to pursue her studies. On the journey, you learn to fold the world, merging two sides to solve puzzles, explore cozy new areas and uncover long-lost secrets.

What feels simple at first, folding and joining paths together to explore and progress, quickly becomes devilishly tricky! Alter the fabric of your world, contorting, spinning, rotating, twisting around – as you try to untangle the puzzle of the Paper Trail.

Cats & Soup

In Cats & Soup you manage a forest full of adorable cats who chop ingredients, cook soup, catch fish, wear outfits, and gradually build a larger campsite. The gameplay is very relaxed and largely revolves around collecting cats, unlocking facilities, and watching your little feline village grow.

An enchanted forest where cats are free to cook up their own delicious rainy-day comfort food in this idle game. The Netflix version isn’t as fleshed out as the mobile series but it doesn’t have any ads!

RollerCoaster Tycoon Touch

RollerCoaster Tycoon Touch Netflix is the Netflix-exclusive version of the mobile theme park builder. You design roller coasters, place rides and shops, manage staff, and expand your park while completing missions and collecting rewards.

There are no ads, no VIP subscription, and no option to buy currency with real money. Instead, you earn everything through gameplay.

Netflix also added some exclusive content, including Netflix-themed rides and decorations.

Storyteller

Storyteller is one of the best Netflix games for cosy gamers who enjoy puzzles, visual novels, or narrative games.

Instead of reading a story, you’re creating it.

Each level gives you a title such as “The Queen Marries a Dragon” or “The Detective Arrests the Murderer.” You then drag characters, locations, and events into comic-style panels to make the story happen. The characters react dynamically to what you’ve created, often with funny or unexpected results.

Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit

Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit is one of Netflix’s standout games, especially if you enjoy cosy life sims.

You play as a Spirit Scout stranded on a mysterious island filled with ghostly bears. Each day you’ll help the island’s residents with their problems, fish, craft, decorate your campsite, collect resources, and gradually uncover the island’s story. It follows real-world time, so new quests and events appear each day.

It’s the sequel to Cozy Grove!

It’s arguably one of the strongest games in the Netflix catalogue because it feels like a premium indie game rather than a mobile game with monetisation systems attached. The hand-painted art style is gorgeous, the stories are surprisingly heartfelt, and the daily structure makes it easy to dip into for 20โ€“30 minutes at a time.

Country Friends

From the same studio that brought you Disney Dreamlight Valley. Country Friends is Netflix’s answer to games like Hay Day and FarmVille. It’s a farming sim where you grow crops, raise animals, craft goods, trade with other players, and build up your own countryside farm. You can also join community farms and work together with other players on shared goals.

The game also has a light story about opposing a polluting corporation called SMOG Inc., which gives it a little more personality than some farming games.

Underwatermelon: Fruit Merge

If that sounds familiar, it’s because it’s inspired by the hugely popular “Suika Game” formula that became a hit on Switch. The challenge comes from the physics. Fruits bounce, roll, and squash together in ways that can either create huge combo chains or complete chaos.

One cute touch is that an octopus called Inky accompanies you as you play and cheers you on while you work towards creating watermelons.

The game originally appeared as one of Netflix’s TV and browser games before coming to mobile devices later, so some players first discovered it on their television rather than their phone. It can even support two players on TV.

Arranger

Arranger is a role-puzzling adventure game that follows the story of Jemma, a small-town misfit on a journey of self-discovery. Venturing out beyond her stiflingly cozy confines, she finds an inspiring world – but also one ruled by fear, and a strange, immovable โ€˜staticโ€™ force. Can she disrupt a culture of stagnation, and find a place to fit into it?

Unlike many Netflix games, this isn’t a stripped-down mobile adaptation or a free-to-play version with ads. It’s the full premium indie game that launched simultaneously on PC, consoles, and Netflix mobile.

Snake.io

Snake.io on Netflix games takes the classic Snake formula and turns it into a fast-paced arcade game where your goal is to eat glowing pellets, grow larger, and avoid crashing into other snakes. As you become bigger, you’ll be able to trap rival snakes and collect the resources they leave behind, helping you climb the leaderboard and chase ever-higher scores.

The Netflix version includes all the core gameplay but removes ads and microtransactions. Just an fyi, while the mobile version focuses on online competition and events, the Netflix game is largely a single-player version against AI-controlled snakes.

As you progress, you’ll travel through themed locations inspired by countries around the world, complete daily challenges, discover bonus words, and earn coins that can be used for hints when you get stuck. With over 6,000 puzzles available to play on Netflix games!

Moonlighter

Moonlighter’s Netflix Edition is a unique blend of shopkeeping simulation and action RPG. You play as Will, a humble shopkeeper in the village of Rynoka who dreams of becoming a hero.

During the day, you’ll run your own shop, selling treasures you’ve collected, setting prices, upgrading your store, and managing your profits. At night, you venture into dangerous dungeons filled with monsters, traps, and valuable loot to bring back and sell.

While there is combat, it’s relatively straightforward and balanced by the slower-paced management side of the game. If you enjoy games like Stardew Valley’s mining sections, Recettear’s shopkeeping, or the collecting and selling aspects of Animal Crossing, Moonlighter sits somewhere in the middle of all three.
