17 Cozy Playables on YouTube You Can Enjoy in 5 Minutes or Less

What if your next cozy game didn’t require any downloading whatsoever and was completely free to play? In today’s list of games I’m sharing 17 cozy Playables on YouTube you can play right now on your phone.

Recently I’ve been so short on time that gaming has kinda taken a back seat. Between working a full-time job and trying to buy my first house I just don’t have the energy to put into a massive management sim. But when boredom does creep in I find myself reaching for my phone. I’ve probably spent more time doom scrolling than is healthy.

That’s how I stumbled upon YouTube Playables. At first I thought they were just going to be merge games but I found some gems hidden among them, so of course I had to share them with you.

What are YouTube Playables?

Playables are YouTubes answer to Netflix games. These instant games don’t require any downloads, instead you play them inside the YouTube app. Unfortunately that does mean ads, but they aren’t terribly intrusive.

YouTube initially launched Playables as an exclusive offer to its Premium subscribers. The first phase of the test featured fewer games and only allowed limited gameplay to players. But YouTube announced that the feature is now available to all users!

To try Playables, simply go to the main YouTube Home page on either the desktop or the Android and iOS app. The app can save your game progress and track your best scores.

You can find a collection of over 75 free games from popular titles like My Mini Mart Simulation, Angry Birds Showdown and Cut The Rope among others. You just tap over to the Explore menu, hit the Playables shelf, and voilà – instant games with no need to download at all.

I’ve played them all so you don’t have to! So when you only have five minutes before a Zoom call or just need ten during your next lunch break I highly recommend picking up one of these cozy Playables on YouTube.
