What do you buy for the mom who’s never played a video game in her entire life? What if the only game she’s played to date is that well-known mobile game – Candy Crush?

My mom or rather mumsie, as she prefers to be called, doesn’t play modern video games. She used to be addicted to The Sims 2 on PC which, when I think about it, she probably still has installed on her PC. It’s pretty much a potato at this point, I don’t think she’ll be running Sims 4 on there anytime soon.

But aside from The Sims, she hasn’t played anything else.

She bought us a classic NES growing up but I don’t recall her ever picking up the controller and playing with us. I think that came down to her being too busy raising 4 kids as a single parent! How she did it I have no idea, she’s an inspiration. 

To honor and appreciate the awesome moms in our lives who have sacrificed so much to raise and support us I feel they deserve some relaxation and playtime, don’t you? Side note: why do we call Mothers “mum” in the UK rather than mom? Technically mom makes more sense right? Answers in the comments please because I seriously have no idea.

I haven’t included any family games as such. I’ve created a separate list of games for those. I wanted to keep this exclusively for games that your mom can play solo because we all need time to ourselves occasionally. Every game is also available to buy as a hard copy because I know that not every mom has access to the internet. My mom doesn’t even have wifi in her flat!
